An initial free half-hour discussion which will give you an insight into how I work and help you decide if this will suit you.
If you decide you would like to go ahead, the first session will look at your health history, eating patterns, lifestyle, and what you would like to change.
Before this session, I’ll ask you to
- fill in a health and eating history questionnaire
- visit your GP and request some blood tests to check blood sugar, lipids (fat circulating in the blood) and other indicators of your general health
- get a blood pressure reading
Then we’ll meet, usually face-to-face, or via Skype or FaceTime, to discuss your health history and eating habits; and wider issues you think are affecting your health and eating.
These could be family circumstances, working patterns, stress levels, exercise and general lifestyle.
I will assess your nutritional needs based on this discussion, your health questionnaire and your blood test results.
We’ll set some goals for the changes you’d like to make, and agree ways of achieving them.
A flexible eating plan tailored to your needs and lifestyle will be agreed, together with more detailed daily menus, shopping lists and recipes if you need these.
Follow-up support sessions
You can choose to have a two-hour, one hour or half hour session, depending on how much support you feel you need in the early stages of your plan.
The sessions can be face to face, on the phone, or on Skype or FaceTime, to fit in with your timetable.
I can provide advice and ongoing support for as long as you feel you need it. My aim is to enable you to gain the skills, knowledge and confidence to maintain your own health as soon as is appropriate for you.

- £40 per hour. £70 for a two-hour initial session if you feel you need more time to explore issues in depth
- Subsequent sessions can be booked ad-hoc for one hour (£40) or 30 minutes (£25).

Payable at the end of each session, by cash, cheque or PayPal.
Lighter touch support
Once you have established your new way of eating, you may just want to check in via email or text, get help with staying on track in stressful or busy times, trouble-shooting or fine tuning your approach. I will aim to respond the same day or at the latest within 24 hours. £30 per month for up to three check-ins a week, payable in advance.
